Costa Community Association, C.C.A., is the Costa Catholic Academy Parent-Teacher support group. All parents are encouraged to participate in CCA activities and events. Membership is open to any person who wishes to support the school. Officers for the current year are listed in the annual supplement. C.C.A. strives to support academic programs, raise funds for extraordinary expenditures by the school, organize school-related activities, and arrange for volunteers to help in the kitchen, playground, and parent-school sponsored events. Monthly meetings are held in the library - check the Salt Shaker for dates. Each family is encouraged to volunteer as needed for projects offered during the school year.
Costa Community Association (CCA) is a parent support organization. All families are encouraged to attend the CCA meetings and to participate in its sponsored functions. They also urge all parents to be involved in their children’s education by supporting the volunteer efforts of the Costa Community Association. The role of the CCA is two-fold. First, the CCA provides the volunteers that organize and coordinate many school community-building and fund-raising activities. The second role of the CCA is to provide fund-raising income that is used to directly support the school. Each year, the CCA makes significant monetary contributions to the school so that large educational purchases or expenses do not have to come from the operating budget. This helps to close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of the Costa Catholic Academy education.
CCA Mission – Work to promote open communication, good will and cooperation between and among students, parents, administrative staff, faculty and other affiliated parties. Work to form and support a strong family-centered environment through social and community activities. Work to support the educational and social needs of the students by promoting and sponsoring various fund-raising activities.
The CCA provides the volunteers that organize and coordinate many community-building and fund-raising activities. Some of these activities include Chicken Dinner, Teacher's Appreciation Week and various other programs such as C.L.A.S. (Costa Liberal Arts). They also provide volunteers for some of the necessary daily functions at school such as lunch and recess duty.
All parents are expected to commit forty (40) hours of service to Costa each school year.
